This Privacy Policy explains how Mausumi Das collects and processes information in connection with The ENT Resident.
Plain English: We provide study notes for ENT students. We don't sell your data. We use your data to provide access to these notes and improve our website.
What we collect
We collect the minimum necessary to provide the Service:
- Account info: Google account ID, name, email (via Google Sign-In) to manage access to premium content.
- Analytics & diagnostics:
- Simple Analytics (privacy-friendly website analytics).
- Ahrefs (SEO and traffic analysis).
- Cookies/Local Storage: strictly necessary for authentication/session and basic analytics; no advertising/marketing cookies.
How we use data
We use your information to:
- Provide access to premium notes and content.
- Authenticate users (Google Sign-In only).
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Analyze website traffic and usage to improve our content.
No User Uploads: We do not accept or host user-uploaded content. All content is provided by us. Data Retention: We retain your account information as long as you use the Service. You can request deletion at any time.
Where data is stored (data residency)
- User Data (account metadata): stored in Neon Postgres (managed database).
- Content Hosting (PDFs, videos): stored in Cloudflare R2.
- App hosting: Vercel (operational logs/telemetry may pass through their infrastructure).
Sharing and disclosure
We share data with subprocessors strictly to provide the Service (see “Subprocessors” below). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service.

Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you,
- Request deletion of your account,
- Correct inaccurate information.
For any request, email theentresident@gmail.com from the Google account you use to sign in. We may need to verify your identity and account ownership.
Data security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The ENT Resident is a professional study resource and not directed to children. You must be 18+ (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries different from yours (server locations). By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time as the Service evolves. We’ll post the updated version here. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
